Wii LOVE the Virtual Console

Even before the US release of the Wii, users were able to buy Wii Points and download games for consoles of the past. Here is breakdown of the pricing: NES – 500 Wii Points, or $5.00 SNES – 800 Wii Points, or $8.00 Sega Genesis – 800 Wii Points, or $8.00 Gamecube – 1,000 Wii Points, or $10.00 Turbo Grafx 16 – 600 Wii Points, or $6.00 The games are supposed to be “faithful re-creations” of the old school games.... 

Wii-VD ?

Even after something is final, is it really “final” ? In regards to specs being released for a gaming console, final isn’t always “final”. Sonic Solutions, makers of Roxio CD/DVD burning software, has announced that they have been chosen to give users a “high-quality DVD movie viewing to a future version” of the Wii. Sonic Solutions says the new version of the Wii is expected in “the latter half of 2007.” There... 

Nintendo is Wii ahead of the game…

According to reports from UBS analysts Alex Gauna and Steven Chin, Nintendo had already made 2 million Wiis by the end of September. They further predict that, “at least 7 million and potentially as high as 9 million more units are in the build plan for Q4 06. This production spike surpasses a publicly announced target for 6 million units to ship by year’s end.” If these statements hold true, we may see 9-11 million units being produced,...

Wii to Cost less than $200?

Nintendo has consistently reminded the general public that the Nintendo Wii would cost less than all other next generation consoles. However, it was unclear exactly how much the Nintendo Wii would cost. Most people thought the cost would be around $250 although nothing has still been officially announced by Nintendo. However, the Japanese version of Engadget is reporting that the price of the Wii could be as low as $171 and this has got the gaming world buzzing?... 

Blazing Angels on Wii & PS3

Ubisoft’s previously Xbox/Xbox 360 exclusive WW2 acrade flight simulator, Blazing Angels, is now set to be released on both the Nintendo Wii and Sony’s Playstation 3 platforms on each console’s launch date. The Playstation 3 version is set to feature some new missions and is promised to make good use of the tilt function in the PS3 controller. Sega Brings Back Classic Genesis Games to PS2, PSP, and Wii
