Wario Land: Shake It Preview

This looks like a fun little title from Nintendo.  Wario is back for some old side scrolling adventures and they are all centered around the Wii’s shake ability.  You basically do just about everything in the game by shaking or turn the wiimote.  Movement is still standard side scroller action, but Wario’s special moves are all shake-based.  The one really interesting aspect to the gameplay was the alarm system.  You grab a special being at...

The Conduit: A Preview

This title should make a nice addition to the Wii’s lineup.  It basically looks like they took the combat system of Metroid Prime and applied it to a Half-Life style of gameplay.  It looks great with some glimpses at exotic weapons and tactics.  The short story is that you’re a secret agent basically working for MIB (called “The Trust” for legal reasons).  Only an early build was on display so some of the intricacies are still under...

Madworld Update

Madworld has certainly been picking up a lot of controversy, despite the lack of gameplay footage.  We now have a good look at what we’ll be getting.  It looks amazing.  Everybody around the gaming world should know the basics.  You are a man fighting in Running Man style matches to please the masses in the cel-shaded universe.  Some new gameplay footage really shows off the extra bits that separate this from Manhunt or Mortal Kombat.  You can use...

Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine

This new title for the Wii doesn’t need a big explanation.  It is basically just a more serious verious of the other cooking games available for the Wii.  The first demonstration was just at PAX and it was only a minor presentation.  That said, there have been plenty of statements concerning the features.  You will be able to pick your own secret ingredients for quick battles against friends through the multiplayer, or you can choose to fight your...

De Blob Preview

This looks like a novel little title,  especially now that we’ve seen a bit of the gameplay.  Not too much to say about it.  You take the roll of a little paint sponge roaming through a fairly open environment.  You can jump from point to point or take the time to paint the graying buildings in the city.  It may not be as innovative as Okami, but it does look like an entertaining platformer for the Wii.  It is expected to come out on September 22nd.  Read More →

Cooking Mama:World Kitchen

There isn’t a whole lot to say about this one.  It’s the new version of cooking Mama.  It will feature a lot of cooking minigames.  That’s about it.  This obviously isn’t for the action junkie crowd.  It should make a fairly interesting game for non-gamers though.  This version will have about 50 recipes overall and each of these contains a whole bunch of minigames.  If you know someone who really likes simple minigames, then...

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

There isn’t too much to say about this one.  There are some new screenshots available of this new title for the Wii.  It serves as a branch off of the main game.  Their big announcement so far was the inclusion of various monster interaction.  It specifically featured a mixture of charming monsters to be allies, while playing enemies off of one another.  It should be a nice little addition to mix up the game while still staying true to past fans. ...

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers (I’m not joking)

This and the stripper pole game should effectively destroy the idea of the Wii as a kid’s toy.  There isn’t a whole lot to say about this game.  You will control different girls in bikini’s and kill a bunch of zombies in a fun arcade setting.  I doubt it will be the key factor in the console war, but there is something truly amazing about being able to wave around a remote and slice up zombies.  Throw in a girl in a bikini and I’m...

Can We Trust These Skies of Arcadia 2 Rumors?

Apparently some backwoods German website (Sega On) has “insider information” on the Sequal to this cult hit. Apparently It will be announced some time during the Tokyo Game Show, and possibly even be announced for the PS3. Taken with a grain of salt. Source Article  Read More →

Wii the weakest console on the market?

Still can’t find that Nintendo Wii you’ve been after, huh? Who can Blame you? You’d be lucky if you had a store that kept their Wii shipments in longer than just a few hours after they arrived. Something that sells that well must be great, right? Wrong. I came across an interesting article today that basically states this: The Wii sucks. You know it, I know it, we all know it. The quality of games that has come out for Nintendo’s little...
