Prototype’s Multiplayer gets the Axe

Radical Entertainment’s upcoming sandbox game, Prototype was showing a lot of promise (mroe so in my mind then GTA4 to be honest), but now a lot of the allure has been taken away with the announcement of the multiplayer being cut altogether. Executive Producer Tim Bennison cited this as the reason: “while it’s a great concept and gameplay bonus, our conclusion is that we won’t be able to pull it off with the same level of quality and...

Nintendo Announces “Wii Want More” Service

Just when I was ready to say “screw it!” with my hopes of Nintendo’s online servicing all together, they go and pull a stunt like this. In a press release, they just announced a new service called “Wii Want More” which will allow for developers to create downloadable content for games and even Wii-ware titles. The service is to come out in May, and already confirmed is content for: Super Smash Bros. Brawl, The Legend of Zelda:...

Finally! Some Details about Infinite Undiscovery

We got a trailer for this game a while back, and thats pretty much it. After watching the trailer a bunch, I’ve grown impatient about the Xbox 360 RPG from Square and Tri-Ace. Well, now I finally have something to whet my appetite with some new scans of the game from the Official Xbox Magazine. The scans are rather large, so i’ll just link to them: Scan 1 Scan 2 Scan 3 Scan 4 And Forever Fantasy was kind enough to make a summary of the articles: ”...

Square-Enix Announce New DS Game: Sigma Harmonics

As the title hints at, Square has just announced a new game for the DS entitled Sigma Harmonics, and it’s being made by the best team Square has to offer. Most of the members of the FF7: Dirge of Cerberus team! Ok, well at least Kitase is acting as the producer, and it seems like a pretty original and novel idea. Of course, a world is in danger, but the good guy here is named Sigma, and has a partner named Neon. It is their job to save the world by….solving...

Crisis Core is Released Today

Yup, the day is finally here when we can go and see Zack’s side of the story. I personally can’t wait to get out of school to go get it (damn responsibilities!). So do yourself a favor and go grab it and try not to get into an accident playing it on the way home.  Read More →

RUMOR: Halo 3 to get “Lockout” remake?

Now there isn’t any ‘official’ backing to this story, but it could end up being true. The latest bungie weekly update gives us a hint of other map remakes: “NS: Two reasons: Sidewinder is one the most requested remakes and we also needed another big vehicle map. And maybe this isn’t the only classic we’re remaking. There’s always hope for said Internet Halo fan.” But this idea is getting more popular after a member of Bungie’s...

Interview with Dead Space Producer

I’m pretty interested in this game, if just because the idea of something new from EA (and the team is actually passionate about) sort of excites me. This is a pretty good interview with Rich Briggs, an EA producer. He discusses some of the gameplay innovations and the direction EA is trying to take with this Survival Horror FPS.  Read More →

Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One Announced for DS

Heres a nice tidbit from this month’s Shonin Jump (Japanese gaming publication). In it, it says that Square-Enix is behind another Valkyrie Profile game from Tri-Ace. The game is called Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One and is for the DS. There seems like there is going to be some changes this time as you don’t play as a Valkyrie, or even a female. No, this time it’s a soldier out for revenge on the gods from something that happened in the...
