HDMI on the low-end PS3

Sony has announced that it will add HDMI to the low-end model of the Blu-ray equipped Playstation 3. Well, at least in Japan. The US site for Playstation 3 still listed HDMI as feature only found on the high-end model that will set you back $599. HD-DVD Drive for 360 Priced In Japan

Microsoft today announced it’s plans for it’s HD-DVD add-on drive for the XBOX 360 in Japan. The add-on drive will be released in Japan on November 22nd and will be priced at 19,800 Yen which is about $170. Microsoft also revealed that an update is expected soon that will allow the Xbox 360 console to output full 1080p games and video. Assassin’s Creed on 360

It was previously assumed that Assassin’s Creed would be a Playstation 3 exclusive however it was always rumored that it would head to Xbox 360 and now it is offical.
