All skater fans and fans of the Tony Hawk Pro Skateboarder Series, rejoice as a new Tony Hawk skateboarding game will be coming to most major consoles.

The game will be known as Tony Hawk Project 8 and be the latest game in the most popular extreme sports video game franchise ever and one of the most popular overall video game franchises ever. The franchise started two generations ago on the Playstation and Nintendo 64 with Tony Hawk and Tony Hawk 2. The Nintendo Game Cube, Playstation 2, and XBOX then came out and Tony Hawk 3 and Tony Hawk 4 were both released for the console before a number of Tony Hawk Underground games were released as well as Tony Hawk: American Wasteland just a few months ago,. Now, as the new next generation consoles come out, the Tony hawk series will be recreated with new tricks, new game modes, better graphics and player animation, and a lot more features for the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 as well as some of the older consoles.
