Many people (hardcore people) hail Metal Slug as the holy grail of 2d shoot em up gaming. And they might be right, the series has been a hit for a while now, giving Mega Man and Contra a good run for their money. The next installation is coming to the DS, and as shown in the trailer below, will be out 11/18/08. The trailer highlights some gameplay, all on the upper screen, but not that Metal Slug would need the touch screen though.
