The Lord of the Rings Online – Mines of Moria

Are you one of the loyal players exploring middle-earth in Turbine’s hit MMO The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar? Are you itching for a bit more? Does Moria sound good to you? I’m sure it does! After a string of free content expansions in Lord of the Rings online, Turbine is putting out its first retail expansion titled The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria. This expansion will let brave adventurers go through and explore the deserted (or is it? dun dun dun) Moria in all of it’s past glory. Along with Moria, the level cap will be increased to level 60, which will bring in a slew of new quests, skills, crafting recipes, traits and all that you know and love from LOTRO. Best of all.. The expansion will add two new classes to choose from. The Runekeeper and the Warden.

Players will get to brave the hellish Mines of Moria later this year.

I briefly played LOTRO for a few months after launch, and I thought it was a nice alternative to the dreaded World of Warcraft. The Music system was fun to fiddle with (no pun intended.. okay, maybe just a little), the story quests were engrossing, and the environments were nice.  I’ve heard there have been a ton of improvements to the game, so maybe this expansion be the thing to make me fall back into the world of mmos.
