With the Japanese PS3 launch approaching many retailers have had to decide whether to have pre-orders, or sell their stock on a first come, first serve basis. Some retailers did allow pre-orders on a very limited basis, while others have opted for the later.
One thing is sure though, there will be many, many disappointed gamers on launch day in Japan. With Sony cutting it’s original shipping estimate to approximately 80,000 units, a 20% decrease from previously announced launch numbers, it’s going to be harder for even the most dedicated gamer to get their hands on the next-gen console from Sony.
