Microsoft annouced that its’ Xbox Live service will be down for maintenance on October 17th. The down-time should last around 24 hours and will also affect Xbox.com. Microsoft states that this is not the fall dashboard update, rather a scheduled maitenance. However, Microsoft did state that they will be adding something “cool”, but did not specify what that content would be.

Consequently, this outage will be on the same day that Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and Tiger Woods 07 are released. Bummer.
