The NBA season is over as the Miami Heat were the 2006 Champions. In video game related NBA news, Tracy McGrady as just been named as the cover athlete for the 2007 NBA Live Cover. Tracy McGrady is one of the best in the NBA, and is always among the top 5 in points per game.
As far as a EA Cover jinx is concerned, I don’t think T-Mac has anything to worry about. Late year’s cover superstar, Dwayne Wade, a third year player out of Marquette, has helped power the Heat all year long and averaged 30 points in the NBA Finals, winning the NBA Finals MVP award. Many now consider him to be one of the top players in the NBA, especially under pressure. We will have to see if McGrady can fill these shoes when the NBA season kicks off this September.
The game will be released for the XBOX 360, PSP, Playstation 2, and PC. There was no mention of the game for the Nintendo WII or PS3.
