Nintendo DS goes Online

You may remember that a while back, Nintendo had promised a televison tuner and a web browser in the new Nintendo DS. Well, the later of these two things seems to be becoming a reality as Nintendo has teamed up with Opera Software and the DS will most likely to surf the web by July 24th.

It is estimated that this add-on that would allow you to surf the web on your Nintendo DS would cost $33 and that a type of handwriting recognition software would be implemented so that the system could comprehend your handwriting using a special pen on one of the DS’s two screens and then display the results on the other screen. No further details on this are currently available, but we will keep you posted on the development of a Nintendo DS Browser and all other DS accessories as more information becomes available.
