Sony has recently reported that the speculation that selling used Playstation 3 videogames was illegal is false and that they will not restrict in any way the reselling of games for their new platform.

“We have definitely not been communicating that,” UK spokesperson for Sony, Jennie Kong confirmed. “It’s false speculation. We don’t have any further knowledge about this topic – either officially or unofficially, to be frank.”

This was a major concern to many gamers who like buying used videogames to save money and sell videogames to earn money for games they no longer play. We will keep you posted on this topic if any other further updates or announcements are made.
