Rhoulette the Ubisoft Community Manager made a post on the Ubisoft forums the other day announcing the official release date for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent as well as plans for a demo release on PC and Xbox 360.

Double Agent will be released on October 19th, 2006 for the Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation 2, PC, and GameCube. She also stated that the release may be pushed up to earlier date but did not promise anything.

In addition to announcing the release date she also mentioned that a single player and a multiplayer demo are planned for release on the PC. While the Xbox 360 will be receive a multiplayer demo downloadable from Xbox Live Marketplace. The date these demos will become available is still unknown however in her post, Rhoulette stated that they would most likely not appear any sooner than a month before release. So expect to see the demos surface sometime in mid September.
