New reports show that according to some recent patents filed by Nintendo, the new Wii console will come with some sort of instant messaging service where gamers can check which of their friends are online and talk with them. It is also speculated that this feature will enable gamers to create detailed profiles with information about yourself such as your favorite games, information about yourself, and other details about yourself. Now these are just speculations and nothing has been officially confirmed. We will keep you posted on this topic if anything further develops or if Nintendo does officially announce the integration of this service into the Nintendo Wii console. One would have to be able to connect and play online for this service.
