A new Loco Roco PSP version has been launched in Japan for approximately $215. The Playstation Portable will be the same as the ones we have been accustomed to, The ony addition to this package is a special themed box and a copy of the Loco Roco game. This is an attempt to compete with the Nintendo DS, in the portable gaming market, especially for smaller kids.

The DS, which was released on June 4th, just over 10 days ago, has sold around 136,773 consoles while the PSP has only sold just under 25,000 consoles. We will se if this new package prompts more gamers to purchase the PSP over the DS.
