XBOX 360 Prices Falling

The standard price for a game on the XBOX 360 is $59.99, $10 higher than the standard pricing for Playstation 2, Xbox, and Game Cube games. With the expensive price of the console added to the cost of the games, sales for many game makers are slow. Hence, there is been a growing trend towards reducing prices into a more affordable price range to help promote sales. Many companies are dropping their prices to just under $40 for games on the XBOX 360.

Electronic Arts recently announced that all of its 2006 titles have been priced at $39.95. Other gaming companies are following the trend and more and more games can now be found at lower prices. Among the more notable of these games are Amped 3, King Kong: The Game, and Madden NFL 2006 as well as Burnout Revenge, both of which are created by EA Games.

We will have to see if this price decease helps promote gamers to buy more games.

Despite the price cuts for XBOX 360 titles, it is still expected that games for the Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii will debut at just under $60.

We will have more updates here, to inform you of any notable price changes in any of the games for the XBOX 360 as well as the PS3 and Nintendo Wii when they launch.
